Mr. Tassan is the Managing Partner of Bartlett LLP, a multi-specialty civil defense and trial firm with offices throughout New York and Florida. Mr. Tassan focuses on the practice and management of all aspects of litigation, trial and appeals of matters involving Attorneys Professional Liability, Construction General Liability, Construction Delay/Defect, Damage Mitigation, Excess/Monitoring/Trial, General Liability (Auto, Landlord and Tenant, Premises), Healthcare Litigation, Insurance Coverage/Regulatory, Products, Recreational and Transportation.
Prior to joining Bartlett, Mr. Tassan was responsible for growth and management of the General Liability practice of a multi-jurisdictional insurance defense firm headquartered in New York. Prior to that time, he was the founding partner of a Garden City, New York litigation boutique with offices in New York City, having a client base ranging from individuals to emerging companies and global institutions. Mr. Tassan began his career as an associate at one of the largest law firms in the country where he served as lead associate to the firm’s senior trial/managing partner involved in the litigation and trial of complex construction, product liability/toxic tort claims, age discrimination, civil rights, voting rights, insurance bad faith claims, estate matters, commercial real estate disputes, fraud and civil RICO actions.
Mr. Tassan received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Magna Cum Laude from Fordham College and his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Tassan is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Ascent School for Individuals with Autism and is a past Member of the Board of Education of the Cold Spring Harbor School District, Cold Spring Harbor, NY.
