Bartlett, Mcdonough & Monaghan’s Bhalinder Rikhye Elected To Nuhealth Foundation’s Board Of Directors

Bhalinder L. Rikhye, partner at premier Mineola based law firm Bartlett, McDonough & Monaghan, LLP, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the NuHealth Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the NuHealth System, a network of healthcare providers in Nassau County that includes the Nassau University Medical Center, A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, NuHeath Family Health Centers, and Nassau Medical Associates. The NuHealth Foundation raises funds to enable all patients of the NuHealth System, which is publicly funded and supported by private funds from the Foundation, to enjoy comprehensive, top-quality, affordable healthcare services.

Mr. Rikhye has a distinguished background in healthcare law with 30 years of experience representing physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers in the Greater New York area on a broad spectrum of issues. Mr. Rikhye is a vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s India Committee of the Section of International Law and Editor-in-Chief of the committee’s quarterly newsletter, India Law News. In addition, he is a founding member of The Asia Society’s Council for U.S.-India Education and past chair of the International Trade Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

Mr. Rikhye is admitted to practice law in Federal and State courts of New York State and in India, and he writes and argues appeals and motions in the trial and appellate courts of the State of New York, including its highest court, the Court of Appeals, and has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a graduate of Columbia College and Queens College, University of Cambridge, England, where he received his law degree.

Since its inception just a few years ago, the NuHealth Foundation has raised in excess of $3 million to help support the long-term development of the NuHealth System and vital programs for its patients. The NuHealth System, which is publicly funded and supported by private funds raised by NuHealth Foundation, has announced its commitment to making health care more accessible, affordable and patient-friendly for young families, hardworking singles and seniors with growing health care needs on Long Island.
