Catherine Chillemi

Catherine Chillemi is a Nurse Attorney. Prior to Joining Bartlett , Catherine served as Senior Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs within the NYC Health and Hospitals system and as System Vice President for Quality, Risk and Patient Safety in the Robert Packer Hospital System in Sayre, PA.

Catherine leverages her experience and passion for nursing, hospital management and law in defending medical professionals and institutions in cases of alleged malpractice. Catherine’s experience as a registered nurse working within numerous Emergency Rooms, Critical Care Units and Heart Transplant programs throughout the country affords her a unique perspective which appreciably enhances the excellent service she offers to Bartlett’s clients.

Catherine obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Lake Superior State University In Michigan. She went on to earn her law degree, with honors,  from Touro Law Center in New York.  During law school, Catherine was the recipient of the Pro Bono Award and received four CALI Excellence For the Future Awards by obtaining the highest grade in each of the following areas: civil procedure, community property, criminal law externship, and intellectual property. Catherine also served as a legal intern to a Supreme Court Justice in Suffolk County and completed an externship program in the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society. Catherine now focuses her career on defending medical practitioners in cases of alleged malpractice.
