Michael Castronovo

Michael Castronovo is a seasoned litigator with broad experience handling high-exposure civil and criminal matters across all phases of litigation. He brings to Bartlett LLP a diverse legal background shaped by years of work in both private practice and in-house roles.

Before joining the firm, Michael was with one of the largest law firms in the United States, where he focused on complex construction, transportation, and premises liability claims. He also previously served as house counsel for a major national insurance carrier, gaining deep expertise in the defense of automobile liability cases.
Earlier in his career, Michael practiced criminal defense throughout New York State and in Federal Court, trying both felony and misdemeanor cases. This experience honed his courtroom skills and developed his ability to navigate high-stakes proceedings from pretrial hearings through trial phase.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Cooley Law School and is admitted to practice in New York, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
