Kenneth T. Bierman received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from The Pennsylvania State University.  Ken graduated from Widener University School of Law on the Dean’s Honors List.   While in law school, Ken placed first in The Widener University School of Law Moot Court Competition.  Prior to joining Bartlett LLP, Mr. Bierman worked in New York City at a prestigious global law firm where he represented Fortune 500 companies, including GE Capital, GE, Whole Foods Market, AIG, and Wells Fargo.  Thereafter, Ken was a partner with a mid-sized New York City defense firm, specializing in all areas of civil defense, with a focus on General Liability and Medical Malpractice.  Ken has over two (2) decades of experience in complex insurance defense matters, with a focus on Construction Accidents, Premises Liability, Automobile Accidents, and Medical Malpractice.  He has handled all aspects of insurance defense litigation, from pleadings through appeals.

Ken is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the District of Columbia, the U.S.D.C. for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S.D.C.s for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

His personal interests include running marathons, reading, traveling and mountain climbing (summited Mount Kilimanjaro).

Mr. Bierman volunteers at Achilles International, a non-profit organization which enables people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics in order to promote personal achievement, enhance self-esteem, and lower barriers to living a fulfilling life.
