Additionally, he has achieved scores of pre-trial dismissals in medical malpractice cases, protecting healthcare providers from unfounded claims.

A significant portion of Mr. Hoffman’s work includes representing contractors, architects and engineers in construction defect litigation involving catastrophic structural failures, underpinning/excavation damage, and other losses caused by fires, water, and other calamities.

Steve serves as designated counsel for an insurance carrier’s boutique line of transportation policies covering the New York City Metropolitan region.

Steve is recognized as a leader in the Construction Defect and Property Damage space. Likewise, among design professionals, Steve is a go to expert in the area of American Institute of Architects (AIA) contracts and commercial contracts, as well as leases, with extensive knowledge of all aspects of risk transfer including indemnification and insurance provisions.

He has long been the primary litigation consultant to a private capital management firm’s New York City real estate division.

Steve is a highly sought after participant in the Excess space where he monitors and collaborates with assigned defense counsel on behalf of excess/umbrella carriers in cases involving catastrophic product liability, fire loss and a host of other losses and significant exposures.

Mr. Hoffman also possesses extensive commercial litigation experience representing multinational corporations in a wide-variety of seven-figure contractual disputes.

As to firm operations and leadership, Steve enthusiastically provides daily counsel, guidance, advice, and direction to attorneys throughout the firm’s offices on a wide range of substantive and procedural legal issues.
