Shahreen Hussain is a dedicated member of the firm’s medical malpractice team, where she plays a key role with all pre-trial aspects of defense litigation. She leverages her legal and STEM field background to help clients navigate the intricacies and intersections between law and medicine.
Shahreen is admitted to practice law in New York. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, with concentrations in Corporate Compliance and Health Law: Institutional Structures and Financing. Notably, Shahreen was a fellowship recipient from the Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy, where she was actively involved in the Medical-Legal Partnership initiative between Hofstra Law and Northwell Health. While in law school, she served as an Executive Research Editor of Family Court Review, and she advocated for veterans pro bono within Hofstra’s Veterans Law Clinic.
Prior to law school, Shahreen garnered valuable experience working on projects within the healthcare operations arena. She earned her Master of Public Health degree, with a concentration in Health Policy and Management, from New York Medical College (NYMC). Shahreen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where she was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List.
